Well look who's finally updated the blog?!

It's November 14th and it has been way too long since the blog's been updated. I'll try to do better but there are no promises.

Olivia is doing well. She's off the bottle which wasn't as traumatic as I feared. She asks for it every now and then but I think it's just out of habit. It's amazing how much the child can eat once the four bottles of milk a day were eliminated!

Above are a couple of photos from her baptism on October 5th and the third photo is just plain funny.

September 7th update

On September 4th, we completed the readoption process for the state of Wisconsin, where we went before the judge and had our petition to adopt Olivia approved. Everything is official now with the state. We can now obtain a birth certificate from Wisconsin.

As you can see from the video, she loves taking walks with Granddad and Mommy! She also likes to make her shoes squeak!

We are HOME!!!

After a delay in Guangzhou, a sprint to the gate in Tokyo and a delay in Minneapolis we are FINALLY home!! Grandpa Michie was happy to see us too (or at least happy to see Olivia!), as you can see in the photo. She warmed up to him quickly as we knew she would. Aunty Kim also got to get some lovin' in too! We are adjusting to the time changes slowly. We have been working the past couple of nights to change her sleep schedule to accomodate the time change. As many of you know, that's not an easy task with a one year old. All in all, she is doing wonderfully with the adjustments considering the 13 hour time difference.

We have Livvy!!!

We received our beautiful daughter on March 30th! Thanks to Mark I am able to post them on the site. For some reason my computer decided not to play well with the internet! Anyway, enough of my ramblings. There will be plenty of time for that later. Here are the pics of our lovely baby girl!!

We are set to travel!

We have been given our CA (Consulate Appointment) for April 9th! We will be leaving for Beijing on March 26th where we will stay for a couple of days and sightsee until we leave for Lanzhou in the Gansu Province on March 30th. We will receive our beautiful precious Livvy on March 31st!!! Afterwards we will finish the paperwork, have a few days to sightsee there as well before we are off to Guangzhou, in the Guangdong Province, where the United States Consulate is located. Livvy will have a physical there and then she will receive all the paperwork there to become an American citizen. We will leave Guangzhou on April 10th for our journey back home! Can you tell we are a little excited?!?!?!?!?
